New oil and gas condensate discovery by Equinor ASA and partners in the Halten Terrace area of the Norwegian Sea Basin (PL094)👏. The wildcat well (Smørbukk Midt prospect) successfully proved hydrocarbon accumulations in reservoirs belonging to the Garn Formation and Ile Formation (Fangst Group)👏. The encountered pay zones are – 54 meters of condensate/light oil column in the Garn Formation and 66 meters of gas /condensate in the Ile Formation👏. The hydrocarbon-water contact was not encountered.👏
